和 look 有關的片語

中學生，看過來唷！！！

在和國中生檢討錯題時發現，"look" 看似簡單其實不然，很多孩子都理所當然地認為"阿不就是看嗎？"一路就朝著"看到"、"看著"...去想，然後就會錯意選錯答案了！如果遇到難的單字，很明顯地，我們會知道要小心思考、判斷其各種解釋的可能性，而選出最有可能的答案，但遇到這類簡單字，往往就毫無懸念的給它選下去，然後錯！所以，我整理了10個和 look 有關但不是"看"的意思，希望對大家有幫助。(By the way, 為了讓大家多看點英文，我還是附上英文解釋和例句)

1. look for: to search or seek something 尋找

    I'm looking for a book about ancient animals for my biology project.

    我正在為我的生物學計畫尋找一本關於古代動物的書。

2. look after: to take care of or be responsible for someone or something 照顧

    The nurse will look after you during your stay at the hospital.

    你住院期間，護理師將照顧您。

3. look something up / look up something: to search for information, often in reference materials or online 查詢

    I need to look up that restaurant's address before we go.

    我們走之前我需要查一下那家餐廳的地址。

4. look forward to: to be excited or eager about something that will happen in the future 期待

    She's looking forward to meeting her favorite author at the book signing.

    她正期待著在簽書會上見到她最喜歡的作家。

    注意： look forward to + Ving or n. 此片語後面接動名詞或名詞

5. look out: to watch out / to be careful 小心

    Look out! There's a car coming!

    小心！ 有車來了！

6. look back: to think about things that happened in the past 回想、回顧。往後看

    As I look back on my childhood, I remember so many fond memories.

    當我回顧童年時，我想起了很多美好的回憶。

7. look ahead: to think about what will happen in the future and plan for these events 為將來打算。向前看

    We are trying to look ahead.

    我們正在努力展望未來。

8.  look up to somebody: to admire and respect someone 敬仰(某人)

     Many students look up to their favorite teachers as role models. 

     許多學生將他們最喜歡的老師視為榜樣敬仰。

9. look down on somebody: to think that you are better than someone 看不起(某人)

    He shouldn't look down on people who speak different languages.

    他不應該瞧不起說不同語言的人。

10. look the part: to look suitable or behave in a suitable way for a particular situation (穿著或行為)看起來很得體

    If you want to be taken seriously at the interview, you should dress to look the part.

    如果你想在面試中受到重視，你應該穿著得體。

除了上面列出的這10個，其實還有幾個和 look 相關的片語，和"看"的意思比較有關連性，比較容易聯想出意思，就不再一一列出。
